CULTURE ASPECTS:

Expect some culture shock. You'll be exposed to signs of poverty and access to services may be sporadic. The food will be quite different from home and English speakers harder to find. Respecting the local culture will make it easier to fit in and really experience the location.

 

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:
 

Day 1 Saturday- Delhi

Arrive at New Delhi International Airport. Meet and greet then transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 Sunday - Mandawa

Breakfast at the hotel. Delhi - Mandawa drive 243 km, approx. 5 hours
After Breakfast drive to the Shekhawati region with lunch en route. Check in to the hotel. Welcome drinks and dinner at the restaurant.

Day 3 Monday - Bikaner

Breakfast at the hotel. Mandawa - Bikaner drive 188 km, approx. 3 1/2 hours Morning drive to Bikaner city, half-day sightseeing in Bikaner visiting Junagarh Fort, Jain Temples, and museum. Lunch while on city tour and dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 Tuesday - Jaisalmer

Breakfast at the hotel. Bikaner-Jaisalmer drive 331 km, approx. 5 hours
Morning proceeds to Jaisalmer, Lunch en-route. Check into the hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 Wednesday - Jaisalmer

Breakfast at the hotel.
Full day sightseeing in Jaisalmer, with lunch, while on the city tour. Experience sunset on Sum Sand dunes and adventure camel ride. Dinner on the sand dunes specially organized for the group. Return to the hotel.

Day 6 Thursday -Jodhpur

Breakfast at the hotel. Jaisalmer-Jodhpur drive 272 km, approx. 5 hours
Morning drive to Jodhpur with lunch en-route. Evening visit the spice market and dinner in the hotel.

Day 7 Friday - Jodhpur - Narlai 

Breakfast at hotel, Jodhpur - Narlai Drive 130Kms approx 2hours.
Morning city tour of Jodhpur covering Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhavan Palace, Jaswant Thada with lunch in a local restaurant. Later drive to Narlai, Specially organized dinner at Stepwell exclusive for our group.

Day 8 Saturday- Narlai - Udaipur Via Kumbalgarh Fort & Ranakpur

Breakfast at the hotel. Narlai - Udaipur Drive 120Kms approx 2 hours.

The inimitable Lake city! Unlike its desert counterparts, Udaipur is situated in the forested hilly region of the Aravalli Ranges; in complete contrast to the arid deserts of Marwar in the northwest. Tucked away in the midst of hills, the city is an impregnable citadel, with an impressive royal lineage stretching back 26 generations. A do-or-die attitude and a fierce sense of independence characterize Udaipur. Overnight Udaipur.

Day 9 Sunday - Udaipur

Breakfast at the hotel. 
Morning proceeds to city tour of Udaipur covering City Palace, Jag Mandir, Lake Palace, and Lake Pichola. Lunch en-route and dinner at the hotel.

Day 10 Monday - Udaipur - Pushkar Via Sardargarh Fort

Breakfast at the hotel. Udaipur - Pushkar drive 280Kms 5hours.

Ajmer was founded by the Chauhan ruler, Aiaipal, during the 11th century & is dominated by the Taragarh Fort built by Prithviraj Chauhan. In Pushkar, visit the holy Lake and also the famous Brahma Temple. Pushkar is one of the holiest places for Hindus.  On the way we will stopover at beautiful Sardargarh fort, now a deluxe heritage hotel, we will have the tour of the fort and lunch overlooking a beautiful lake.  Dinner at Pushkar in the hotel. Overnight Pushkar.

Day 11 Tuesday - Pushkar - Jaipur

Breakfast at the hotel. Pushkar to Jaipur drive 140 Kms approx 2 hours.
Morning proceeds for a brief city tour of Pushkar city and later drive to the pink city of Rajasthan called Jaipur. One of the most romantic cities in India. Lunch on the way, and dinner at the hotel.

Day 12 Wednesday - Jaipur

Breakfast at the hotel. 
Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a color coat of pink a century ago in honor of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, & the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Special Gastronomy sessions will be organized where we will learn about Indian spices, cooking various/traditional Rajasthani cuisines, dance, and much more. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 Thursday - Jaipur - Agra Via Fatehpur Sikri.

Breakfast at the hotel. Jaipur- Agra drive 256 Kms approx 5 Hours.
Morning drive to Agra Afternoon visits the world-famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. One the way visit to Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 km from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Upon reaching Agra, we will visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise and see the beauty of the Taj. Lunch on the way, and dinner at the hotel.

Day 14 Friday - Agra - Delhi

Breakfast at the hotel. Agra- Delhi drive 220 Kms approx 4 Hours.
The morning after breakfast, visit the Red Fort containing the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Drive to Delhi,  this day is free for leisure, shopping, or individual sightseeing. Later in the evening farewell dinner. Overnight in Delhi.
End of service.

Day 15 Saturday - Delhi - International Airport Drop.

The morning after breakfast, transfer to International Airport.
